RBI Grade B exam will be conducted in two phases. Phase I in on line exam and phase II is descriptive exam.

Phase I:

It has 200 questions for 200 marks and the time provided is 130 minutes. It contains questions from,

• General Awareness
• English Language
• Quantitative Aptitude
• Verbal Reasoning

Phase II:

It has 3 descriptive papers for 100 marks and should complete in 3 hours each.

Paper 1 (English):

It has,

• Essay
• Precise writing,
• Comprehension and
• Business/Office Correspondence.

Paper II (Economic and Social Issues):

It has,

• Industrial and Labor Policy
• Monetary and Fiscal Policy
• Privatization
• Role of Economic Planning. Globalization
• Opening up of the Indian Economy
• Balance of Payments, Export-Import Policy
• International Economic Institutions
• IMF and World Bank
• WTO

Paper III (Finance):

It has questions from,

• Capital Market, Money Market and Foreign Exchange Market,
• Stock Exchanges and their Regulation;
• Capital Market Intermediaries and their Regulation;
• Role of SEBI; Functions of the Money Market;
• Growth and Operation of the Money Market;
• The Foreign Exchange Market
