What is the eyesight criteria for females for Short Service Commission?
I have completed by b.tech degree. And i want to know the eyesight criteria for females in short service commission. Please reply at the earliest.

The visual standards for the male and female are same for the short service commission. Here is the details regarding the eyesight eligibility in Short service commission.
VISUAL STANDARDS : * Candidate should have better eyesight of corrected vision of 6/6. * Candidate should not have Myopia of more than minus 3.5 including Astigmation. * Candidates who have undergone LASIK surgery are not acceptable and rejected. * The uncorrected eyesight of 6/24 for Graduate entry and 6/9 for Common entry are applicable for SSC. |

Eyesight criteria for females for Short Service Commission :
For Better eye : 6/6 (corrected) For worse eye : 6/18 Myopia must not be more than minus 3.5 including Astigmation. Candidate must not have gone through Radial Karatotomy to improve eye visual acuity or Lasik Surgery. |

Short Service Commission Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year.
The physical requirements to join Army Short Service Commission are as under :- Height : 157 cm for male and 152 cm for female Eye sight : 6/6 or 6/12 with or without glasses and should not suffer from color blindness. Chest :77 cm without expansion and 82 cm with expansion. Academic qualification : B.E./ B.Tech. degree with at least 60% marks. Age criteria : 19 years to 27 years . Selection Process : * Initial Screening will be based on qualifications and after that SSB Interview will be conducted. * Physical Test and Psychological Test * Group Test * Final selection is made on the basis of merit list. |
