Students who have completed their ITI can seek employment with various public sector Units / PSUs such as: Railway, Telecome / BSNL, IOCL, ONGC, State-wise PWDs and others.

In addition to this, they can also explore career opportunities with the Indian Armed Forces i.e. Indian Army.

What next after ITI for Government Job?

Government jobs in the Indian Army and Navy are available for ITI students. Every year Defence forces of India release the notification for ITI qualified students. Candidates, who have qualified, can take up an apprenticeship, which is provided by the Indian Defence forces.

Some of the government jobs available for ITI students

Defence
DRDO
Railway sector
NCL
BARC
Thus those who have passed ITI can apply for job in above sectors.

And for getting better post, they can go for diploma course and then apply for B.tech
Students can join diploma course after completing the certificate course.

After completing ITI, you can do Fitter or Electrician or Machinist courses which are the most advantageous for government jobs. All ITI trade is preferred by the government. It depends on your interests or preferences. The ITI's electrician skill is ideal for positions as railway pilots.
