A girl which has taken Medical stream can appear CDS exam and come into Defence Services and what is the pay and perks given?

Yes, you are eligible to appear for CDS examination. CDS examination is conducted by UPSC twice every year.

The examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates as Officer's in the different defense wing. The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Indian Navy --19-22 years with mathematics and physics as main paper in graduation.
Indian Air Force--19-23 years with mathematics and physics as main paper in graduation.
Indian Army---19-24 years with graduation in any discipline.
OTA---19-25 years with graduation in any discipline.

So, you are eligible to appear for examination. The examination is conducted in two stages and candidate have to qualify in both stages for final selection in service.

The pay scale is Rs.15,600-39,100 after recruitment and increase as per rank with other facility.

Yes, you are eligible for the Combined Defense Services (CDS) examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

The female candidates are eligible for Officer Training Academy (OTA) in Non-Technical course.

ELIGIBILITY :

* Candidate should be citizen of India.

* Candidates age should be in the range of 19-25 years.

* Age relaxation is applicable as per norms.

* Candidate should complete graduation in any discipline from any recognized university.

* Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for the exam.

* Candidate should be physically and mentally fit without any deformities.

The pay scale for the Army officers are given below :

* Lieut ant to Major : Rs.15,000/- to Rs.39,100/-.

* Soldier (General Duty) : Rs.15,000/- to Rs.39,100/-

* Lt. General : Rs.67,000/-.

* captain in Indian Army : Rs.15,600/- to Rs.39,100/-.
