Admission criteria for Lateral entry in UPTU :

Candidates who have Diploma or B.Sc degree with mathematics at 12th standard can apply for Lateral entry in UPTU.

Candidate must have secured more than 45% marks in diploma or B.Sc degree. 5% relaxation is also there as per government norms.

Age of candidate must be fro 17 to 23 years.

UPTU stands for the Uttar Pradesh Technical University. For lateral entry to different colleges of UPTU, you must appear for the Lateral Entry Entrance test conducted by technical board of education of UPTU.

The eligibility criteria for the LEET exam is that candidate must have scored at least 60% marks in the diploma overall.

After that you can apply for the LEET exam, based upon your LEET score, you can get admission in different colleges of UPTU like:

1. JSS Institute of Engineering or Technology.

2. IMS engineering college.

3. Krishna Institute of Engineering and technology.

4. Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering college.

5. ABES Engineering college.

- > Diploma students can get direct admission 2nd year B.Tech or B.Pharm course in Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU).

-> Applicants who have passed Diploma in Engineering,Technology other than Agricultural Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture specialization with minimum 60% marks from the institutes recognized by Board of Technical Education are eligible.

-> Applicants who have secured 60% marks in Diploma in Agricultural Engineering program can get admission into 3 rd semester of B.Tech. Agricultural Engg. Only.

-> Lateral Entry is not applicable for B.Arch. And B.H.M.C.T. course in UPTU.
