Admission possibilities for M.Tech course through lateral entry after MCA?

Yes of course. You are absolutely eligible to apply for M.Tech course examination. M.Tech means Master of Technology and the duration of this course is two years. The course is divided into four semesters.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate should have completed Engineering or Technology or M.Sc or MCA from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. No percentage bar are required to apply for this examination. Final year of degree course may also apply.

To get admission in M.Tech course, you need to crack the entrance examination, which is conducted by their respective university. The notification will be publication in the month of March or April in the official website of respective university.

No, After completion of MCA degree, you can do M.Tech course through GATE exam. You can start M.Tech course from 1st semester.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department then are eligible for GATE exam.

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply any number of time. There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.

I am sorry to say that there are no such lateral Entry admission to M.Tech course after completion of MCA. However, if you want to pursue M.Tech course, you will probably have to get admission in the course after completion of your MCA and by no chance before it.
