Hello everyone,
I am now going to study B.Sc in Hotel Management.
But I like to work for my country.
So can you please help to is there any
opportunity at Civil Services if I do this course?

Why not, you can join Civil Services after completing degree course. Civil Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission once in a year. This year notification is not yet declared. You can expect in the month of May/June in the official website of UPSC as well as employment newspaper.

Eligibility Criteria for Civil Services:

The candidate should have passed degree course in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. Final year of graduation may also apply. The candidate age should be between 21-32 years at the time of appearing for this examination. Upper age limits are applicable for reserved categories. Three years relaxation is applicable for OBC categories and five years relaxation is applicable for SC/ST categories.

How to apply : The application forms will be available at the time of notification. There is no offline mode of application forms. Only online mode of application forms will be received. The cost of application forms is Rs.200/-

After completion of B.Sc degree, you are eligible for Civil Service exam. If you are a final year candidate of B.Sc degree, you are eligible for Civil Service exam.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for Civil Service exam.

Age Criteria:

For General: 21 to 30 years
For OBC: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

No. of Attempts:

For General: 3
For OBC: 7
For SC/ST: No Restriction

Selection process for Civil Service exam:

UPSC conduct civil services exam every year in order to make recruitment in posts like IAS,IPS,IRS,etc. The criteria to apply for the civil services exam are as under:-

-The candidate must posses a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.The candidate in the final year of the degree course can also apply for the exam.

-The applying candidate must be a citizen of India.

-The age limit to apply for the civil services exam is from 21 years to 30 years for general category.There is relaxation in upper age limit for OBC candidate by 3 years and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

-The candidate has to clear the different stages of the examination to get into civil services.These stages are;

*Preliminary exam,

*Main Exam,

*Personality Interview.
