Course structure of BTech(Mechanical Engineering) in Kaziranga University?


Hi everyone, I am going to enroll for BTech Mechanical Engineering course in Kaziranga University. I want to know the course structure of BTech(Mechanical Engineering) course available in this university. Please let me know about the structure of this course asap.

BTech(Mechanical Engineering) in Kaziranga University is full time 4 years long duration of course, comprises of 8 semesters. Under lateral entry scheme, course is 3 years duration program, comprises of 6 semesters.

For regular B.Tech students it is four year course divided into eight semester and for lateral entry students the course is of three years which is divided into six semesters. The following are the semester wise credit distribution for Mechanical Engineering.
>> First Semester = 27 credits
>> Second Semester = 29 credits
>> Third Semester = 28 credits
>> Fourth Semester = 28 credits
>> Fifth Semester = 26 credits
>> Sixth Semester = 31 credits
>> Seventh Semester = 17 credits
>> Eighth Semester = 14 credits

Semester V: Credit 26

Engineering Economics and principles of management, Manufacturing Technology-II, Machine Design-I, Control System Engineering, Dynamics of Machinery.

Semester VI: Credit 31

Machine Design-II, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning, Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, Internal Combustion Engine, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Measurement.

Semester VII: Credit 17

Production Management, Non-Conventional Energy resources, Electives-I and II, Industrial Training and Minor Project.

Semester VIII: Credit 14

- Electives depend on the college department.
