Sir, I'm getting 107 around in OBC-A category in WBJEE medical 2016. Shall I get a medical seat? I am quite anxious as in one of the website I saw this year cut off for OBC category is 40%.

In order to get a medical seat you have to meet the level of cut off marks set by the college/institute. The cut off marks changes every year from one institute to other.

The cut off marks depends upon :

> The number of seats available.

> The number of candidates appearing for the examination.

> The difficulty level of the paper.

The cut off of various categories for this year WBJEE medical are:

> General Category - 50%

> SC category - 40%

> ST category - 40%

> OBC (A and B) category - 40%

> PwD category - 45%

The cut-off for OBC-A Category candidates in WBJEE Medical 2016 examination is 40%. You will be qualified in WBJEE Medical examination, if you score at least 40% marks of the total marks for which the examination is conducted. If you qualify the entrance examination by securing minimum qualifying marks, according to your examination rank, you need to participate in counselling process and you will be allotted a seat in a particular college for pursuing Medical course.
