Considering Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET) offers a wide range of courses, including B.E/B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA programmes, the eligibility criteria also differ accordingly. Given in the table below are the AMET eligibility criteria for admission to B.E/B.Tech programmes. Eligibility Criteria of AMET 2020 for B.E/B.Tech Programmes Course Eligibility Criteria B.E Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering The candidate needs to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 5% relaxation applies to SC, ST and OBC- NCL candidates. B.E Petroleum Engineering The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology with minimum 50% aggregate marks. SC, ST and OBC-NCL candidates need 45% marks only. B.E. Mechanical Engineering The candidate needs to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 5% relaxation applies to SC, ST and OBC- NCL candidates. The candidate also needs to have scored minimum 50% marks in English in 10 or 10+2. B.E. Electrical Electronics Engineering The candidate must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. SC, ST and OBC- NCL candidates need to score at least 45%. Age limit: The candidate mustn’t be more than 25 years of age on the day of commencement of classes. B. Tech. in Food Processing Technology The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology with minimum 50% aggregate marks. B.E Mining Engineering The candidate needs to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together. 5% relaxation applies to SC, ST and OBC- NCL candidates. Eligibility to apply for AMET BTech entrance exam 2020:-
The candidate must have passed 12th or any equivalent exam with at least 60% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics. Minimum 50% marks in English is also mandatory. Age limit:- The candidate needs to be below 25 years of age on the day of commencement of programme. Medical Standard:- The candidate should be physically fit to serve in the sea, with eyesight up to 6/2 in both eyes or 6/9 in better eye, 6/18 in other eye and with no colour blindness. |
