Eligibility for Economics honours course?
I had history, eco, bst, English and fine arts in +2. So, Can I do economics honours . Am I eligible for it.

If you have completed 12th standard or equivalent with minimum 50%marks from a recognized university then you can study Economics Honours.
The duration of this course is 3 years Admission procedure is, entrance based or merit based. |

The most common eligibility to pursue B.A Economics ( honours ) is that :-
Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board. Candidate must have mathematics as main paper in 10+2. So, without mathematics you are not eligible to get admission in the course in some of the best institutions. |

Candidate must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized state or central board with at least 50% (relaxable for reserved category candidates) marks. |

You must have completed the Higher secondary examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects and at least 50% marks in aggregate or it's equivalent from any recognized board/institute to get eligible for Economics honors course. |

1. You must have completed 12th with a minimum score of 50% marks for the unreserved category and 45% marks for the reserved category students. 2. You must have passed 12th in maths stream. 3. The duration of the course is three years. |

The candidate should have studied mathematics in the 12th class to pursue this course. The eligibility for the Economics Honours course is a candidate must have passed 10+2 in any stream with Economics as one of the major subjects with a minimum score of 45% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. The minimum score may vary from university to university which you can check before applying. There is no specific age limit to apply for this course. Admission selection may be done either on the basis of entrance test scores or merit-based.

You are not eligible to get admission in colleges affiliated with Delhi university and even in other major institutions.
The common eligibility to pursue the course is that candidate must have passed 12th with mathematics as main subject. So, without mathematics in std 12th you are not eligible to get the admission. |
