Eligibility to study BDes Knitwear Design in NIFT, Chennai is given below:

Students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from a recognized board with 50% marks

3 or 4 year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education

The upper age limit is 23 years as on 1st October 2017 for general category students and 23+5 years for SC/ST and PWD students

First thing I would like to let you know that for pursuing B.Des ( Bachelor of Designing ) course from NIFT ( National Institute of Fashion Technology ), Chennai you need to qualify NIFT entrance examination with the minimum required cutoff marks.

Further, for appearing in NIFT entrance examination for admission in B.Des degree course, you need to have qualified your Class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board of education. Also, your age need to lie under 23 years by 1st October of that year which you are going to appear in the same examination. Age relaxation is allowed for reserved category candidates.

The eligibility criteria to pursue Bachelor of Design in National Institute of Technology are:

You should have done 12th from a recognized board in any stream. Stream does not matter for this course.

Then, you need to apply for National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance exam and secure a good rank to get admission in this institute.

The eligibility to study Bachelor of Design course in Knitwear from NIFT, Chennai:

You should have passed 12th from a recognized board.

You must have minimum of 50% marks in board examination of 12th.

Then you need to crack NIFT examination with good rank.

To pursue B.Designing ( Knitwear Deigning ) from NIFT ( National Institute of Fashion Technology ), Chennai you need to qualify NIFT entrance examination.

--> Further, for appearing in NIFT entrance examination, you must hold the following qualifications :-

* You must be an Indian citizen with your age lying under 23 years by the 1st October of that year in which you are going to appear in the same examination. Age relaxation is allowed for reserved category candidates.

* You must have completed your higher secondary school degree in any discipline from a recognised board. Students appearing in their board examination too can apply for the same examination.
