I am pursuing Diploma in Chemical Engineering. I live in Punjab and doing my Diploma here. After my Diploma I want to join BTech course but in any Government college. So, I want to know for this what I have to do.

First, you should chose a few of the colleges where you want to apply. The next thing is to look for the entrance tests which are accepted by those colleges. Some colleges accept GATE score, some JEE Mains, while others accept the state entrance test. You can chose and appear for the entrance tests and based on the scores, the admission can be taken on merit basis.

For government colleges in Punjab, mostly JEE Mains ranks are considered for admission purpose. You need to fill the online registration and appear for counselling. Admission will be based on merit upon JEE Mains.
