MA in Mathematics or Statistics can be done after B.Com honours?


I'm a commerce student. I have studied B.com Honours. After completing this course can I be able to get to study Ma Mathematics /Ma statistics? Please help me.

No, to do MA in Mathematics or Statistics ,you must have a graduation degree in Statistics or it's equivalent discipline with minimum aggregate 50%marks from a recognized university..

The duration of this course is 2 years.

This is a post graduate degree.

Yes. If you have studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects in your B.Com, then you are eligible to apply for MA in Mathematics or Statistics.

°°° Yes you can. But most of the universities will require a graduation degree in statistics.
Statistics has good scope from career prospective in today’s market.

The answer is YES.

1. Anyone can pursue MA in mathematics or statistics after a graduation course.

2. You must have a minimum of 50% marks in the graduation course. There is 5% relaxation in marks for the reserved category candidates.

3. The duration is two years.

Yes, it is possible to study MA in Mathematics or Statistics after B.Com honors from any university. The duration of the course is two years. Admission to this course is done on a merit-based as well as on the basis of an entrance test that is conducted by the university itself.

To pursue Master's degree in Mathematics or Statistics candidates are required to have completed their bachelor degree with Mathematics or Statistics as main subjects from a recognized university.

So, having studied B.Com Honours degree course, you are not eligible to study Masters degree in Mathematics or Statistics unless you complete a bachche degree course once again with either Mathematics or Statistics as main subjects.

Yes, you can do MA in Mathematics if you have Mathematics in your undergraduate course. The educational qualification required is a candidate must have passed a bachelor's degree in Mathematics as the main subject with a minimum score of 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Admission selection will be on the basis of the performance in the entrance test which is conducted by the university.

The educational qualification required for MA in Statistics is a candidate must have passed a bachelor's degree in Statistics or equivalent from a recognized university. Admission selection will be on the basis of the performance in the entrance test which is conducted by the university. The minimum score may vary from university to university.
