Physics and Chemistry are not mandatory for Mathematics Honours at Delhi University. The minimum educational qualification required is a candidate must have passed 10+2 in Science stream with a minimum score of 50% marks in Mathematics or in aggregate from a recognized board. Admission selection is done on a merit basis. The colleges issue a cut-off list after filling out the application form and that will ensure admission to any applicant.

You are not eligible to pursue B.Sc Mathematics honors without Physics and Chemistry.

The eligibility to get admission in the course is that candidate must have passed 12th in PCM as main paper from a recognised board.

For detail information about admission procedure visit at www.du.ac.in.

As per the information bulletin released for UG admissions in University of Delhi (DU), the educational requirement for getting admitted to B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics is 50% marks in Mathematics and an aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying
examination. Further, the Merit shall be determined on the basis of one language, Mathematics and two best academic / elective subjects as specified in List A and List B above.

So, if you have two subjects other than Physics and Chemistry which are part of List A and List B subjects as provided in UG admission bulletin then you are allowed to not consider your marks in Physics and Chemistry for your best four subject marks calculation on which merit for admission is created.

For complete details regarding University of Delhi (DU) UG admission criteria, you can refer to the UG admission bulletin released by the university by referring to the link

No at Delhi University, you don't have to study Physics in Maths Honors. Maybe, it can come as a collaborative subject in any semester which is very basic physics .
