I am BCom 2nd year student, is there any scope in Indian Army for commerce students like me?

The commerce graduates can also serve as an officer in the different wings of Defence Forces.

A student of commerce can also join the army. The applicant needs to pass class 12. So he cannot enter the army immediately after class 12. He has to pass the NDA Entrance Test. Every year, UpSC holds the NDA 1 and NDA 2 entrance exams for the National Defence Academy, which are required for enrollment in the Indian Army.

Yes, there are opportunities for commerce students to join the Indian Army. The Indian Army has several branches and services that require the skills and expertise of commerce graduates. Some of the positions in which commerce graduates can apply for include:

Army Service Corps (ASC) - As an ASC officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the logistics of the Army run smoothly. This includes transportation of troops, food, fuel, and ammunition.

Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) - As an AOC officer, you will be responsible for the procurement, storage, and maintenance of weapons, ammunition, and other equipment used by the Army.

Judge Advocate General (JAG) - As a JAG officer, you will be responsible for providing legal assistance and advice to the Army, as well as representing the Army in court cases.

Military Intelligence (MI) - As an MI officer, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing intelligence about enemy forces, as well as providing strategic advice to the Army.

Finance Corps - As a Finance Corps officer, you will be responsible for managing the finances of the Army, including budgeting, accounting, and auditing.

These roles require specific skills and knowledge related to commerce, such as financial management, logistics, and procurement. Additionally, candidates will have to undergo training to become commissioned officers in the Indian Army.
