AIEEE exams are now known as JEE Main exams. There are numerous institutes that give admission on the basis of JEE Main rank.
But JEE Main exam is only for admission in the first year of engineering degree course.

For lateral entry in engineering, candidate have to apply for LEET exam. Many colleges have their own entrance exams.
Also numerous colleges give admission on the basis of score in diploma or equivalent.

AIEEE stands for the All India Engineering Entrance examination. This entrance was earlier conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education for admission in National Institute of Technology for bachelor of technology in different branches of engineering.

This exam is now replaced by the Joint Entrance Examination which is also conducted by the CBSE every year.

Joint Entrance examination has two stages:

1. JEE Mains for admission in NITs, IIITs and other government engineering college.

2. JEE Advanced for admission in IITs.

Diploma candidates can apply for the JEE mains but they must have secured at least 60% marks in diploma without any pending backlogs in any subject.

AIEEE no longer exists now and now there is only JEE Main and Advanced which doesn't have any lateral entry admission procedure.

Therefore, if you want to get admission through lateral entry then you have to apply for exams like LEET, JELET etc which are conducted by state technical directorate.

AIEEE is an Engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission to Undergraduate courses in NITs. AIEEE examination has been replaced by JEE Main examination. Candidates who have completed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from any recognised board are eligible to appear in JEE Main examination. There is no lateral entry examination alternate to AIEEE (JEE Main) for getting admission in NIT.

-->No, You don't have any AIEEE exam for Lateral Entry students.
-->AIEEE - All India Engineering Entrance Exam which is conducted to recruit students for NIT's in India.
-->It is one of JEE exam conducted every year for recruiting students into their colleges.
-->All students who have completed their +2 std with Physics , Chemistry, Mathematics as a main subject can apply for the AIEEE exam.
-->This will direct you to join Engineering course in NIT's

First of all there is no AIEEE exam present now.

It has been changed into JEE Mains followed by JEE Advanced(To get admission in IIT).

The eligibility criteria for JEE Mains are as follows.

-Candidate must have completed his/her 12th standard in MPC group.
-Candidate age must be between 17-21 years,
-Percentage criteria is given to state wise differently.

As per the criteria there is no option for Diploma holders to get admission in NIT/IIT.

So there is no chance for Lateral Entry in JEE Mains.
