Respected Sir, can I know about the pattern of WBJEE for BTech admission which is organized by WBJEE Board? I have applied and preparing for this entrance exam. Kindly tell me about the pattern of this entrance exam of 2019.

What is the pattern of WBJEE(BTech) 2019:-

- Exam duration - 4 hours

- Examination mode - offline

- Types of questions - multiple choice questions

- Subjects - physics, mathematics and chemistry

- total number of questions -155
Physics - 40
chemistry - 40
mathematics - 75

- total marks - 200

- marking scheme
Category 1: 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
Category 2&3: 2 marks will be given for each correct response.
For every incorrect response 1/4 marks will be deducted.

Types of questions - Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Total Number of questions - 155

EXAMINATION PATTERN

=> Mode of Exam = Offline

=> Total Marks = 200 Marks

=> Types of Questions = Multiple Choice Questions

=> Total Number of Questions = 155

=> Total paper = 2

** Paper 1 = Mathematics

** Paper 2 = Physics and Chemistry

=> Negative marking = ¼ of the marks.

WBJEE Exam Pattern:

The exam will be conducted through offline mode.

2 hours will be provided to complete the whole exam.

Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exams today.

In category 1 and 2, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer and there is no negative marking in category 3.

Negative Marking:0.25 marks.

The exam for WBJEE (B.Tech), will be offline in nature and there will be multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. You need to study according to your class 11th and 12th syllabus.

There will be negative marking, therefore, you need to be careful while attempting those questions, which you are not sure of.

Age Criteria required to apply for WBJEE (B.Tech) 2019:

The basic age criteria required to apply for WBJEE (B.Tech) 2019 examination is given below,

>> Minimum age required - 17 years

>> Age criteria is considered as on 31st December, 2019

>> As far as my best knowledge is concerned, there is no Upper age limit to apply for this recruitment.

>> But for admission to the degree level marine engineering course, maximum age limit will be 25 years and age criteria is considered as on 31st December, 2019.
