Hello Sir, I have done my M.Sc. in food and nutrition from Hemwati nandan bahuguna garhwal university.l have done my B.sc in home science from CCS university Meerut. Now I want to do 6 months internship in dietetics from AIIMS, Delhi. I want to know what the procedure, eligibility, is and qualification required applying for that. Do I need to give an entrance exam for that? If yes, then how to get the application form, date of entrance exam, fees and the syllabus for that. Looking forward for a positive response, thank you.

Just apply for internship by contacting them in person. The head of the institute or the HR department will be the suitable contact point for internship at AIIMS.

If you have any contacts, then they will guide you better. Normally, top institutes like AIIMS will prefer candidates with reference.

In order to get internship in AIIMS you are required meet certain instructions. You are required first get permission from concerned administrative office and then contact HR department of AIIMS. Once you get permission it will be easy for you to move ahead. If you have referral in AIIMS then it will be easy for you to get eligibility.

Yes, you can do your internship from other places and hospitals other than your college. The only stipulation is that the place where you go to has to be MCI (Medical Council of India) recognized and authorized for pursuing Compulsory Rotatory Internship. As has been mentioned by others before, it means that you won’t get paid for the work that you’re going to be putting in.

The process that is required for you to get a transfer for internship is as follows:

Application of NOC or No objection Certificate from home Institution.
Application of NOC from the target Institution.
Application of NOC from the Registered University
Approval by the Directorate of Medical Education
Provisional Registration Certificate in the State Medical Council provided by the parent Institution.
