You can do two types of projects in the field of wireless communication.
- First, research based project. You need to study the latest developments in the field of wireless communication and various IEEE journals and papers. Pick one paper from that, study it thoroughly, perform research on it. Find out the drawbacks and then suggest a solution to it in your project.
- Second, implementation based project. You can take up project in the field of embedded systems and make a project which finds application in the wireless communication especially the modern 3G and 4G technologies.

Before starting any project, make sure you have a guide who can be a teacher, lecturer or a professor. It is better to choose someone who have prior experience of publishing papers.
