Educational Qualification:- A candidate must hold a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India. AGE LIMIT: 21-30 years NO. OF ATTEMPTS IPS:- 4 attempts for GEN Candidates. 7 Attempts for OBC Candidates. No limit for SC and ST Candidates. Exam pattern: The Examination will comprise two components viz; Written Examination and Interview for Personality Test. THANKS |

Re: Qualifications required to give IPS entrance exam? Hi friend...... IPS stands for Indian Police Service. This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission. Eligibility:  You should complete the bachelor degree from recognized University. No percentage required for this exam. Your age limit is between 21 to 30 years. 3 years upper age relaxation for OBC. 5 years for Sc\St & 10 for PH. All the best.......... |

QUALIFICATION FOR IPS ----------------------------------- Dear friend, IPS is the acronym for Indian Police Service, another civil service sector that draws thousands of aspiring candidates. Admission to IPS can be obtained upon successful clearance of the all India competitive exam administered by UPSC. 1. The Preliminary Examination and 2. The Main Examination. Now the eligibility criterion for this exam: * You must be 21 years (minimum) and 30 years (maximum) at the time of taking exam.5 years extra for SC/ST and 3 years extra for OBC * People belonging to general category can appear for IPS exam four times, while OBCs can appear for seven times but no limit has been set for SC/ST. keep in mind, even appearing in just exam is counted as an attempt. * You also need to meet physical standards mentioned in application form. Eligibility criteria for Civil services exam is given below. EDUCATIONAL ELIGIBILITY •-> Graduation from any recognized university. •-> No percentage bar. AGE LIMIT •-> 21 to 30 year for GEN Candidates. •-> 21 to 33 year for OBC Candidates. •-> 21 to 35 year for SC,ST and PH Candidates. NO. To write the exam, you must hold a bachelors degree. There is no restriction regarding the stream or the marks you secured in the final year examination. if you are a graduate, you are eligible for the exam. The minimum eligible age is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years. The maximum age limit is relaxed for candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC category. Eligibility criteria for IPS:- Educational qualification:- *The candidate must have complete the graduation at least.. *the candidate should not have any due backlogs during graduation. Age criteria:- *The candidates age should be in between 21-30 years.. The age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years, and the age relaxation for OBC is 3 years. After fulfilling the criteria you can appear in IPS exam... All the best.. |

Minimum Graduate pass Candidates appearing for Degree qualification are also eligible for appearing in the examination, however, they are supposed to submit proof of passing the requisite qualification along with with Detailed Application Form for Civil Services (Main) Examination. Candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years. SC/ST: up to a maximum of 5 years.OBC:up to a maximum of 3 years. Thanks!! |

Hello dear The Educational Qualifications which is required for the IPS exam is Minimum Graduate in any discipline from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). the other eligibility Criteria For IPS exam is 1. Age limits : 21-30 years as on date of the exam. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories). For SC/ST candidates between 21 and 35 years of age.
