Yes you can apply for this examination. To know more about the eligibility criteria in details please read the information below:- NDA's full form is National Defense Academy. To enter this academy an examination needs to be given which is conducted by UPSC twice a year. By giving this exam you can enter the following wings:-
Nationality:- You need to be a citizen of India. Gender:- This examination is only for the male candidates of India who are unmarried. Unfortunately girls are not allowed to sit for this examination. Educational Qualification:- Army wing:- You need to be a higher secondary passed out student or its equivalent from a recognized institution. If you want to join IMA subject combination at 10+2 level does not matters. Air Force and Navy wing:- To join the Naval Academy or Air Force Academy you should be a 12th pass out plus you should have physics and mathematics as their compulsory subject at 10+2 level. Age Limit:-
Exam Pattern:- It is mainly an objective type test and you will get the option to answer the questions either in English or Hindi. Total 900 marks have been allotted for the exam. 300 marks is for Mathematics and 600 is for the second section called the General Ability Test. The intelligence and personality section carries 900 marks approximately and it is basically conducted to know more to test your mental agility. Hope this helps :-> :-> |

Also you should be unmarried male and must be an Indian citizen. Education qualification should be upto 10+2 from a recognized Board of Education. As you have studied PCM means you are also eligible for Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. Exam Pattern:  Height and Weight:  If your date of birth is 06/12/93 then you will not be eligible for NDA examination. So you can complete Graduation and then you will be eligible for CDS examination. Also you can apply for non officer posts if you are interested in it. Re: Am I eligible for upcoming NDA Exam? AAs per your date of Birth as on 06/12/93, you are now not eligible to apply for NDA as you have already crossed the maximum age limit of 19 years as on date. NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Army, navy and Air Force wing of NDA. The eligible candidate being an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with no upper age relaxation fo any reserved candidate with good Physical and Mental health, can apply for NDA. Hence you are not eligible to apply for NDA but you can apply for CDS(Combined Defence Service) after Graduation degree. For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in |

Candidate appearing for above examination can also apply. Unmarried male candidates only Age between 16 1/2 to 19 years. so from the above laid criteria you are eligible. Here I'm giving you the details of NDA examination conducted by UPSC every year. 1.The candidate should pass 12th standard examination. 2.Age of the candidate will be within 16.5 to 19 years. 3.The nationality of the candidate must be Indian. |

Yes you can appear for NDA Exam.National Defense Academy (NDA) exam is conducted by upsc twice in a year to intake qualified Candidate for different department in Defense service like Indian Airforce, Indian Navy,Indian Army etc. Eligibility criteria for NDA-I/NDA-II exam: Education qualification: Minimum candidate should complete 12th class with PCM stream. Age Limit: Age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years. Citizenship: Indian NDA-I exam notification for this year: Issue of application form from 31st Dec 2011 to 30th Jan 2012. Exam will held on 15th April 2012. NDA-II exam notification for this year: Issue of application form from 5th May 2012 to 4th June 2012. Exam will held on 19th Aug 2012. Eligibility for Indian Army : 1:You should pass 12(10+2)th or its equivalent from State Board / Universities. you can also apply as appearing for 12th examination. 2:Marital Status:Unmarried 3:Sex :Male. 4:Age Limit : Between 16.5 and 19. 5:Nationality: You have to be A citizen of India, or subject of Bhutan, or subject of Nepal, or Tibetan refugee . Application Forms are published in any leading newspapers during March or April every year and entrance examination to be held by the UPSC six months later from the application form is published. The UPSC (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year (April and October)in all major cities throughout India. Each year course start twice January and July. Selection Procedure: National Defence Academy selects the candidates in three phases : i)A written examination by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). ii)An interview by the Service Selection Board(SSC) to check the potentialities Intelligence and personality. iii)A medical examination by a Service Medical Board(SMB). The written examination is of two papers of all objective type questions. i)Mathematics of 2.5 hours maximum number 300 including Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics. ii)General Ability test of 2.5 hours maximum number 600 including General English, General Knowledge,Physics,Chemistry,General Science,History,Freedom Movement,Geography,Current Event After clearing the written exam you will be called for a five-day interview process with the State Selection Board (SSB) which is the final step of selection. So I'm giving you the details about NDA examination : Qualifying examination for NDA : The candidates for the Air Force, Naval and Army wings of the NFA can be done through this NDA Examination which is done by UPSC in every year. Age qualification for NDA examination : The age of the candidate should be within 16.5 years to 19 years while applying and should pass 12th standard. Who can apply for NDA examination : Permanent citizens of India and refugee of Nepal,Bhutan and Tibet who had migrated to India before January of 1962 are eligible for NDA. Scholarship Program for NDA examination : 1.Parashuram Bhau Patwardhan Scholarship. 2.Colonel Kendal Frank Memorial Scholarship. 3.Kaur Singh Memorial Scholarship. |

Re: Am I eligible for upcoming NDA Exam? hello dear, NDA exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission) twice in a year...... for NDA a candidate should have 12th with minimum 60% marks and age should be between 16 1/2 and 19 yrs....... as you are of 17yrs and 7 months so you are eligible by age but you havn't mentioned your marks so it is difficult to say...... |

For Naval and Air Force:- 1.You have to complete your 12th in science having physics and maths with 60% marks. Age eligibility:- 1.Your age should be in between 16.5-19 years. As you have mentioned that your date of birth is 21 September 1993, then you are eligible for NDA 2012 exam.. So, go for it. All the best. |

Re: Am I eligible for upcoming NDA Exam? There are 3 fields you can join. Those are Army, Navy and Air Force. The entrance exam is conducted by UPSC twice in each year. The eligibility criteria for NDA Exam is: 1. You must be a citizen of India. 2. For Army,a candidate must have completed 10+2.3. 3. To join Navy and Air Force,you must have Physics and Mathematics as subjects at 10+2. One should be in the age limit of 16.5 years to 19 years to be eligible for the exam. National Defence Academy (NDA) examination is conducted by UPSC in every year for the admission in the Indian Navy, Indian Army and Air Force wing of the NDA. This examination is conducted twice in every year. Once in the month of April and other in the month of August. To appear in the NDA examination you need the following eligibility criteria. Educational qualification = Pass 12th examination with any stream from a recognize board or University. The 12th board exam appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for the NDA examination. Age Limit = The age must be between 16 1/2 to 19 years at the time of appearing of this examination. As per your question your age is above 16 1/2 years and if you have pass 12th exam then you are eligible to apply for the NDA examination. |

It is conducted by the UPSC .The examination is done two times in a year in the month of April and August . The pattern of the examination for all three fields are same .You can apply for all fields if you are eligible . Eligibility for the exam :: You should be have passed your class 12th examination in any streams for the ARMY and you must have physics and maths as a compulsory subjects for the NAVY and AIR FORCE . You should have born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st July, 1996 .Since you are born on 21 September 1993 which means that you are not eligible for the exam. Pattern of the examination :: The NDA examination is done in three phases :: 1.Written exam  2.SSB 3.Medical . A candidate can join into Army wing, Navy wing and Air Force wing by this NDA Exam. Here is the eligibility criteria for NDA Exam. -For Army wing,a candidate must have completed 10+2. -In order to join Navy and Air Force wings, the candidates must have gone through Physics and Mathematics as the subjects at 10+2. One should be in the age group of 16 1/2 years to 19 years to be eligible for the exam. As your date of birth is on 21-09-1993, you have completed 18 years by 21-09-2011 and by 21-09-2012 you are going to complete 19 years. So, you fall under the required age criteria and you can appear for upcoming NDA Exam. The next NDA Exam is going to be conducted on 15-04-2012. The last date for the receipt of application forms for this exam is by 30-01-2012. So prepare well for this exam and crack the exam. |
