Re: Good salary jobs after b.tech in biotech? Hi. I have done M.Tech Biotechnology and completed my training from Serum institute,pune. I am getting a job in Serum but the package is too low and there is a 5-years bond. I am not interested in having a bond of 5-years. Is there any current requirement in other biotech companies with better package and opportunities. Would be grateful if you can help me. |

Career in Biotechnology Careers in biotechnology are mostly associated with research and development field. ... or B.Tech) or post graduation (M.Sc. or M.Tech) or PhD in biotechnology or chemistry. ... After completing p.hd you can take exams such as scholarship for p.hd (biotech PG students) CSIR-Nehru science post doctoral research fellowship scheme. CSIR-JRF forms released in the month of august(online) and exam conducts in the month of december. best of luck.............. |

As a potential student, you can easily enter in Multi national companies. MNC in Pharmacy, Drugs and Chemical companies will offer a good salary for you. B-tech in Biotech is good and after completion of your B-tech you will get definitely placed in any one of the Biotech plant... If it does then according to your qualities like speaking skills, presentation skills etc, you will surely get a good job with good packages of course but the most important thing you need to have is CONFIDENCE. That would help you the most. If good companies are not visiting your college for placements then you should apply directly to the relevant companies ie medico companies. You will be called as per the requirements and you will get the job. It's good that you are understanding your family and going for the job. I am completely agreed with the decision but be prepared for the higher studies as well. If you get experience of 2-3 years in this field then chances of getting good fellowships is foreign countries for the master degree, are very high. thank |

Re: Good salary jobs after b.tech in biotech? all software companies like infosys,wipro etc., have separate requirement of bio-technology engineers for bio-informatics... Direct bio-technology jobs cannot be found in India as its is still a field under development.As the software boom has its rise and inflation inc control you can get job in software and IT fields. coming to the payscale you can get the salary you want.try with patience. |

Hi friend For you best option is that you can for as Staff in other college, but JObs are less in our country, so join any College, in that college itself you do M.Tech and the go for Phd in Anna university, then you can soon become a HOD in any company, Because you have good Teaching skill, that will be easy at your stage level, you can face more problem, by your Speech itself, don't worry buddy, there are lot more option there, best advice is that continue your studies in the same university where you do your ME Best of luck |

I think btech provides a wide domain of job packages into which you can atleast apply for those jobs. |

Since Biotechnology is a recent development in the field of science and technology. Multiple career options are waiting for biotechnology professionals. You can be employed in pharmaceutical companies, chemical, agriculture and allied industries & Research laboratories run by government or corporate sector. There are also many employment opportunities for bio-technologists in government and private sector collages and universities. In private sector you many find employment in company such as pharmaceutical farms, food processing industries, aquaculture and agro based industries. You can also be hired as environmental specialist by various government agencies and private institutions. Biotechnologists also have the option to join media houses as Science writer. remuneration: Biotechnologists employed in public sector industries and research institutes have pay packages according to the norms fixed by government. Those working in private sector corporate houses and industries have much lucrative remuneration. They may get Rs. 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per month. |
