I'm a final year student of B.Tech in Biotechnology, is there any chance of mine getting a good salaried job (pakage between 2.5-3.5 lakh per annum).I cannot go for further studies as my family is facing economic crisis and also I have to pay back bank loan, so I have no money to study further.But I have a good quality i.e. I'm a good speaker. I'm good at giving presentations, posses good communication skill.So please do tell me do I have any hope.

as you are a very good speaker,presenter then you can join as a lecturer in a college.

the sallary for a lecturer is very good.you will earn minimum 2.5 lacks per annum.

you may also do research oriented jobs.

I expect that your college would have a provision of Campus Placement. If it does then according to your qualities like speaking skills, presentation skills etc, you will surely get a good job with good packages of course but the most important thing you need to have is CONFIDENCE. That would help you the most.
If good companies are not visiting your college for placements then you should apply directly to the relevant companies ie medico companies. You will be called as per the requirements and you will get the job.
It's good that you are understanding your family and going for the job. I am completely agreed with the decision but be prepared for the higher studies as well. If you get experience of 2-3 years in this field then chances of getting good fellowships is foreign countries for the master degree, are very high.

Environment control
Waste management
Energy
Food processing &

The Government of India provides large-scale employment to most biotechnologists in its research laboratories.
Main areas of work for a biotechnologist include production of bio-processed materials, Marketing of biotechnology products and processes in various areas, Research, Bio-informatics - Applying information technology to the management of biological information.
Therefore, you could join the pharmaceutical industry, fertilizer and chemical companies, especially in the R & D department or the quality control department There are companies like SPIC, Godrej which have a bio-technology division. (B.Tech degree is usually preferred). The starting salary in such divisions are between Rs.6000-10,000. A B.Tech biotechnology is preferred to than B.Sc, since it offers a scope to work abroad.

i m sorry to tell u that but there is not much scope of job at this level so its better u go for mtech too

You did'nt mention from which University/College are u doing? Are they offering any campus placements?

You have wonderful talent of presentation skills, and it is vital in marketing in any pharmaceutical industry, so definetely you have some extra points.

My advice is after finishing your B.Tech join in any company, but initially do not expect more salary. After some months, try to impress upon them by your talent, so that you can climb the ladder slowly.

Also, do either Clinical Research from good Institute or M.Tech after you are employed. This will surely improve your pay package.

as you have mentioned that you have financial problems due to which you don't want to look forward for further studies, it is good that you have understood your duties. yes, you can get a job, but i doubt oj would it be a high pay job.but i suggest you to complete your studies when your financial conditions are much better.

as you have told that you poss good communication skill , this will definitely help you a lot.see, your hard work will ultimately carry you up in your success ladder, so don't worry if you don't get an good job.just work harder & make opportunities.

that's really very surprising that such an innovative person is facing problems but it do as jobs in biotech industry is too rare .

The only nice pay packets are given to pupil undergoing research work and that too you cannot afford .

The jobs for bachelor students are provided if they are having a pharma degree but as you are not interested in further studies so that won't do ..

But friend , there is nothing to worry !!!

I think that you are too much good for teaching job . There are very rare colleges in which some innovative study pattern is followed . Most people just run after marks and don't emphasize on the quality of studying and i think that you are too good to change such a system by applying for the job .

Teaching is the only field left for you in which you can expect a good salary even about 3 lc/annm so i think that you must go for it without any hesitation as you are having all the qualities which must be present in a good instructor .

Or you can apply in some pharmaceutical company but by that you will only be able to get 5-6 thousand a month and that also with too many terms and conditions .

if jobs are not paying you a hand some salary then start teaching yhe sbject in some reputed institutes or start giving your own coachings.you will be definitely earn better.

ya why not you will have a good future if you are a good speaker as well as good presenter..you can go for the lecturership ..you will br getting good salary ...
you can erite the UGC CISR NET or SLET for the lecturership in the universities..
and you can get good pay as well..

Surely you will get a good job after completing BSc. in biotechnology.

Since Biotechnology is a recent development in the field of science and technology. Multiple career options are waiting for biotechnology professionals.

You can be employed in pharmaceutical companies, chemical, agriculture and allied industries & Research laboratories run by government or corporate sector.

There are also many employment opportunities for bio-technologists in government and private sector collages and universities.

In private sector you many find employment in company such as pharmaceutical farms, food processing industries, aquaculture and agro based industries. You can also be hired as environmental specialist by various government agencies and private institutions. Biotechnologists also have the option to join media houses as Science writer.

remuneration: Biotechnologists employed in public sector industries and research institutes have pay packages according to the norms fixed by government.

Those working in private sector corporate houses and industries have much lucrative remuneration. They may get Rs. 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per month.

Salary packages varies from companies to companies . But the basic question is that whether you have to get a universal degree or a specialised degree. I think btech provides a wide domain of job packages into which you can atleast apply for those jobs.

getting jobs in biotech field is very difficult as i am facing now as i am a graduate in B.E Biotechnology....in this field they stress for the specialization so v r supposed to do higher studies such as m.s.if its not possible than go for industrial training given by department of biotechnology where they wil train the students with lab techniques and they would give a stipened of 8000 /month.as of now v can't expect more salary as v r not specialized or trained...

For you best option is that you can for as Staff in other college, but JObs are less in our country, so join any College, in that college itself you do M.Tech and the go for Phd in Anna university, then you can soon become a HOD in any company, Because you have good Teaching skill, that will be easy at your stage level, you can face more problem, by your Speech itself, don't worry buddy, there are lot more option there, best advice is that continue your studies in the same university where you do your ME

all software companies like infosys,wipro etc., have separate requirement of bio-technology engineers for bio-informatics...

Direct bio-technology jobs cannot be found in India as its is still a field under development.As the software boom has its rise and inflation inc control you can get job in software and IT fields.
coming to the payscale you can get the salary you want.try with patience.

According to me you can get a good job after Biotech because your speaking and presentation skill is good then i think that you are best from other who have not speaking and presentation skill. i think you will get a good salary job. all the best.

Today Biotechnoloy is become one of the greatest field ....
And Now days it have much demand in INDIA as well as other countries like US, Canada..
B-tech in Biotech is good and after completion of your B-tech you will get definitely placed in any one of the Biotech plant...
