Re: Eligibility for government services and GATE exam? Eligibility criteria for Government service exam: Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university. Age should be between 21 to 30 years. Important dates for Government service exam: Indian Administration Service(Preliminary exam) Notification for this year: Issue of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012. Exam will held on 20th May 2012. Indian Engineering Service exam notification for this year: Issue of application form from 25th Feb 2012 to 24th March 2012. Exam will held on 15th June 2012. For more details,then click here Eligibility criteria for GATE exam: Candidate should have complete B.E/B.Tech/Architecture/Statistical course Candidate being in final of above course can also apply for the exam. Important dates for GATE-2012 exam: Issuing of application form from 12th Sep 2011 to 17th Oct 2011. Exam will be held on 29th Jan 2012. For more details,then click here |

Hi ELIGIBILITY FOR GATE EXAMINATION The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear for GATE 2012: Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programmes. Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes. Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology. Candidates in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology. Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible. good luck |

For more information about latest notification of GATE entrance exam please Check this link Jobs that you get for various Government Services through Exams are as follows UPSC Exams i.e.. UPSC IES Exam. This is the exam which is aspired by every engineer but unfortunately your group i.e., Computer science students directly don't have eligibility with your subject but you can apply for this under other Engineering subjects like Electronics Electricals Mechanical Civil Etc. but I guess its a risky option. UPSC Civil Service Exam To Become IPS/IAS/IFS etc Civil servant you have to clear a common entrance examination called UPSC Civil Service Exam. This exam is also conducted by UPSC and this exam is conducted yearly once. The official link for this is www.upsc.gov.in State Public Service Commissions Groups Groups like Group 1 and group 2 exam can also be preferred to get a Government job. ISRO Entrance According to the notification by ISRO you have to apply for this entrance examination. Get updated about notification in Employment news and other genuine web blogs.
