I have completed my Bachaler of engineering with computer science branch In 5years.. Please tell me can i have eligiblity for government services and gate exams.

GATE : Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers.

There is no age limit for it you can write any times as you want . There is no limit on attempts also
so now also after 5 years of your graduation also you are eligible to write this examination.

and one more main thing that I forgot to tell you is this GATE entrance exam is written to do higher studies in your B.Tech subjects as per your desire.

Jobs that you get for various Government Services through Exams are as follows

UPSC Exams i.e..

UPSC IES Exam.


This is the exam which is aspired by every engineer but unfortunately your group i.e., Computer science students directly don't have eligibility with your subject but you can apply for this under other Engineering subjects like
Electronics
Electricals
Mechanical
Civil Etc. but I guess its a risky option.

UPSC Civil Service Exam

To Become IPS/IAS/IFS etc Civil servant you have to clear a common entrance examination called UPSC Civil Service Exam.

This exam is also conducted by UPSC and this exam is conducted yearly once.

State Public Service Commissions Groups
Groups like Group 1 and group 2 exam can also be preferred to get a Government job.

ISRO Entrance


According to the notification by ISRO you have to apply for this entrance examination.

ELIGIBILITY FOR GATE EXAMINATION
The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear for
GATE 2012:
 Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/
Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the
final year of such programmes.
 Master's degree holders in any branch of
Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or
equivalent and those who are in the final year of such
programmes.
 Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year
Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in
Engineering/Technology.
 Candidates in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated
Master's degree programme or Dual Degree programme in
Engineering/Technology.
 Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations
conducted by professional societies recognized by
UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India);
AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India)) as equivalent to
B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or
equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

Eligibility criteria for Government service exam:
Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
Age should be between 21 to 30 years.

Important dates for Government service exam:

Indian Administration Service(Preliminary exam) Notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012.
Exam will held on 20th May 2012.

Indian Engineering Service exam notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 25th Feb 2012 to 24th March 2012.
Exam will held on 15th June 2012.

I have completed my B.E(CS)at the period of 6 years in bangalore university at the aggregete of 47% .Is i m eligible for this exam.
