Re: How many attempts for obc candidates in IES? Dear friend IES stand for Indian Engineering Services. Friend OBC category candidates attempts IES exam in 7 time at the maximum age of 33 years. Number of Attempts:- General category candidates - 4 time OBC category Candidates - 7 time SC/ST category candidates - No limit. Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years And SC/ST category candidates 5 years. Good luck...... |

Re: How many attempts for obc candidates in IES? The IES (Indian engineering services) is a examination organised by UPSC and is for engineers only. You should have A degree in Engineering from a recognized university.The age limit is 21 to 30 years. There are for categories for which the recruitment are done:- Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. So you are eligible for appearing in this exam. You can also apply if you are a final year student. |

Re: How many attempts for obc candidates in IES? IES grants the following number of attempts to the categorized candidates : GENERAL - 4 attempts OBC - 7 attempts SC/ST - No limits. So since you are an OBC candidate, you can take a maximum of 7 attempts. You have to be a minimum graduate to sit for IES, or a final year student. All the best. Regards #RJ# |

Generally, the restriction comes in the age criteria, where graduate candidates must be within 30 years of age. All the best! |
