for po post in sbi you need to write an exam conducted by sib every year and egilibility for it is gradutation an percentage of marks u have is enough for it and for it you apply it by online and next after selecting to the exam you need to attend for group discusions and later personal interview and if for the po post mainly you must be good in english speaking and general awaress and also you must have computer knowledge....

You should be a graduate in any discipline form a recognised University with at least 50% marks within the age of 21 to 30 years of age to be eligible to apply for P.O.(Probationary Officer) in SBI.

State Bank of India conducts examination for Probationary Officer in regular interval according to the requirement.

The selection of P.O. is through two phases:-

Written Test comprises of Objective type questions on English Language, General Awareness, Marketing, Computers, Data Analysis & Interpretation and Reasoning and subjective type questions on English Language.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Dear friend,

For apply in the SBI PO all the details are given below:

Eligibility criteria: Graduation from any stream with 60% (For Gen/OBC Candidates) or 55% (For SC/ST/PWD candidates)

Age Limit:

For Gen/OBC candidates (Minimum age limit is 21 yrs and Upper age limit is 30yrs)

Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit to Reserved category candidates
Upper age is relaxable by
(1) 3 years in the case of OBC candidates.
(2) 5 years in the case of : i) SC/ST candidates. ii) Ex-servicemen (including Emergency
Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers) who have rendered
at least five years continuous Military Service and have been released on completion
of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within
one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct
or inefficiency or /on account of physical disability or have been released on
account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or on invalidment iii)
Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of the State of
Jammu and Kashmir between 1st January, 1980 and 31st December, 1989.
(3) 10 years for VH/OH (Gen); 13 years for VH/OH (OBC) and 15 years for VH/OH
(SC/ST) candidates.

SELECTION PROCEDURE :

(a) Phase-I
Written Examination : Combined duration 3 Hrs. (Objective & Descriptive Type Tests - Max. Marks - 250)
The duration of objective type test will be 2 hours max. marks 200 and will consist of :
i) Test of English Language (Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.)
ii) Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
iii) Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
iv) Test of Reasoning (High Level)

(b) Phase-II : Group Discussion & Interview :

Max Marks - 50 (GD - 20, Interview - 30)
The aggregate marks of objective and descriptive test will be arranged in descending
order and the candidate who have qualified in both the written tests will be called for
group discussion and interview depending upon the vacancies in each category, subject
to maximum of 3 times of the vacancies.

(c) Final Selection
The marks of group discussion & interview will be put together to make the final merit list for the selection of the candidates.

SBI - State Bank of India

As like other banks SBI is also conducting the Bank PO exam which is one of the Bank Exams

This exam is conducted for candidates to join in for the post of probationary officer on respective to the vacancy in the bank.

There are criteria's framed for the exam in order for a candidate to join in as PO Officer:

Eligibility for SBI Bank PO:

> The candidate need to be a citizen of India

Age Limits:

> The candidate need to have a age limit of 21-30 years.

> There are certain upper age relaxation for other category castes.

Education Qualification:

> Regarding the education qualification needed for the exam it is that the candidate must have completed a degree in any discipline from a recognized university


As you satisfy the education qualification for the exam,check whether you satisfy all the other criteria's in order to be eligible for the exam

to apply for probationary officer you need to have CWE score card. you have to apply for its exam first which you can apply after your degree and through valid CWE score card only you can apply for PO in SBI

To be eligible for the post of Probationary Officer in State Bank of India one must hold a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized board. The selection process comprise of written examination followed by group discussion and interview. The written examination is based on the following topics:
English Language
General Awareness
Marketing
Computing
Data Analyst and Interpretation
Reasoning
Candidate applying for the job must have attained the age of 21 years and should not have exceeded 30 years of age, relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for Sc/St candidate.
