Eligibility criteria for Merchant Navy after 12th standard: Candidate should have completed 12th standard with PCM stream from recognized university. Age should be between 16 to 19 years. The two major department of Merchant navy are the Navigation and Engineering department for which you must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Maths in the +2 level of education. Apart from this two, the department which recruits candidates from commerce background is administrative department. To be part of this department, you must hold a degree in commerce or equivalent. Qualified candidates with fair knowledge of computer are appointed as Pursuer.A Purser is responsible for general administration and all money-related needs on board. |

Re: How to apply for merchant navy after 12th commerce(without maths)? dear friend, No, you are not eligible for merchant navy course after completion of 12th in commerce. For that you must have complete your 12th in science having subjects like Physics, chemistry and maths with 60% aggregate. As you have complete your 12th in commerce field then you are not eligible. Re: How to apply for merchant navy after 12th commerce(without maths)? hello dear, eligibility criteria for merchant nevy is; -a candidate should have physics, chemistry and maths in his 12th and the marks should not be lower than 60%..... as you are a commerce student without maths you are not eligible for merchant nevy for further details you can see the attatchment given; |

A degree in 10+2 or equivalent with physics, maths and chemistry is compulsory for merchant navy. you can go through the eligibility criteria once to get the details about the field. |
