Re: Sample papers of exam to get admission in MSc(Food Technology) in CFTRI Mysore?  THE FOLLOWING IS THE REFERENCE COPY OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE YEAR 2012-14. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA : Bachelor Degree in Science with Chemistry/Biochemistry as one of the subjects or Agriculture / Engineering / Technology. Mathematics as one of the subjects in Plus 2 or Pre-University or at Degree level is compulsory for admission. Minimum Marks Requirement : (i) 55% in optional subjects of B.Sc. pass course (50% for SC / ST category) (ii) 50% for B.Sc. (Hons.) course (45% for SC / ST category) (iii) Minimum second class for Agriculture / Engineering / Technology Entrance / Aptitude Test : Students who meet the eligibility criteria are required to take an entrance / aptitude test Reservation* : For SC / ST and Persons with physical disabilities – Applicable for admission to the course as per the Government Orders in this regard. *Candidates claiming reservation under the specific category are to provide attested documents as proof in support of their claims For any clarification, candidates may contact the HRD Office at 0821-2514310 between 4 PM to 5 PM from Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday are closed holidays for the Institute. M.Sc. [FOOD TECHNOLOGY] PROGRAMME RECEIVING FILLED APPLICATION FOR M.Sc. COURSE OF 2012-14 IS STAND CLOSED A two year programme consisting of four semesters starting in the third week of August every year. Consists of the following 16 subjects. SEMESTER -1 : (1) Basic and Food Microbiology (2) Chemistry of Foods (3) Applied Mathematics and Statistics (4) Basic Principles of Engineering SEMESTER -2 : (1) Biochemistry and Nutrition (2) Principles of Food Processing (3) Infestation Control and Pesticides (4) Food Engineering-I SEMESTER -3 : (1) Food Engineering-II (2) Packaging Technology (3) Technology of Foods : Meat, Fish and Poultry Products (4) Industrial Microbiology and Biochemical Engineering (5) Dissertation Seminar SEMESTER -4 : (1)Technology of Foods Elective A: Grains, Legumes and Oilseeds Elective B : Plantation Products and Flavour Technology Elective C : Fruits and Vegetable Technology (2) Advanced Food Science (3) Operations Research., Food Plant Organization and Management (4) Investigational Problem I HAVE ATTACHED THE SYLLABUS FOR ENTRANCE EXAM...PL GO THROUGH IT... |
