IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service which is conducted through UPSC every year ....... Eligibility criteria: ^^The candidates should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognize university ^^The final year students can also apply for this exam . ^^The age limit is 21 - 30 yrs. ^^There is a age relaxation for Reserved candidates. ^^No.of attempt: General-4 times SC/ST - unlimited OBC- 7 times The exam pattern :  Optional subjects : Agriculture Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science Anthropology Botany Chemistry Civil Engineering Commerce and Accountancy Economics Electrical Engineering Geography Geology History Law Management Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Medical Science Philosophy Physics Political Science International Relations Psychology Pubic Administration Sociology Statistics Zoology List of best books for IAS exam...... I am a computer science engineering student Details about IAS Examination :- ~~ Qualified graduate degree with any discipline OR final year of degree course may also eligible to apply . ~~ Selection Process of this examination :- Prelims Exam , Main Exam , Personal Interview . ~~ Prelims examination can be divided into papers and both paper are objective type questions . ~~ Main Exam can be divided into nine paper and all the paper are descriptive type questions . ~~ This year prelims exam was already completed 20/05/12 . I am a computer science engineering student Hi, To become a IAS Officer you need to work hard, and read the magazines daily updated news watch and prepare hard to become IAS officer and you can choose only two subjects in IAS. IAS exam is conducted by the UPSC once in a year. Eligibility criteria: you should be a citizen of india. The applicant should be complete graduation from any recognized university. The candidate age limit should be 21 to 30 years. The age relaxation available for sc/st and obc candidates. Both male and female candidates are eligible for this exam.
