Re: Can I join AFMC with eye number more than -3.5? here is the visual standards for afmc 1.Distant Vision (Corrected)- 6/6 6/18 2.Near Vision (Corrected) -N5 N8 3.Myopia - not more than -3.5 D 4.Hypermetropia - not more than+3.5 D +3.5 D 5.no under degenerative signs of vitreous or chorio-retenitis 6.should have good binocular vision 7.Minimum color vision standard should be CP-3 |

Re: Can I join AFMC with eye number more than -3.5? hi, there are very less chances of selection because they may reject you on medical grounds because medical fitness is the most important factor for AFMC.for eye site myopia of not more than -3.5D hypermetropia of not more than +3.5D+3.5D |

They follow some norms which have to be fullfill,as you want to do MBBS in armed force medical college, so it is very necessary to be fit physically, & for eye site they follow some norms which are: Myopia of not more than -3.5 D and Hypermetropia of not more than +3.5 D +3.5 D. so, good luck. |

The correct vision is listed below: Visual Standards: Better eye Worse eye 1.Distant Vision (Corrected) 6/6 6/18 2.Near Vision (Corrected) N5 N8 3.Myopia of not more than -3.5 D 4.Hypermetropia of not more than+3.5 D +3.5 D Minimum color vision standard should be CP-3 (Defective Safe). |

The application form can also be obtained by sending a request for the form to AFMC along with a demand draft. Important Dates(Tentative): Date of Entrance Examination: May 1st week, 2010 Availability of application forms: December 3rd week, 2009-January End, 2010 Announcement of Results: End May, 2010 Interviews: June, 2010 Eligibility criteria: A candidate must have attained at age of 17 years before 31st December, 2010 and should not be more than 22 years on 31st December, 2010. Besides a candidates should not be married and cannot marry even during the course. Also a candidates should be medically fit according to the specified standards. Candidates should have passed all the subjects in the first attempt of qualifying examination and should have secured atleast 60% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and atleast 50% in each of these subjects individually and also in English. |
