Re: How to apply for Ph.D in English? hllo! i am from rampur and i did masters in english from govt. girls p.g college affiliated to mjpru i want to do ph.d in english but i am having a problem and that is that i am unaware about the rules and regulations like how to file an application and how much long it will take to complete my ph.d and also the fee structure actually the biggest drawback is that i don't have my family support and all i had to do is by my own elp me out |

Re: How to apply for Ph.D in English? The minds that take on the English subject for PhD course are considered amongst the best in India. The duration of the course varies with time. However the course duration is generally considered as two years in which the students have to write thesis on the given topic in order to achieve the degree. |

Re: How to apply for Ph.D in English? well, an entrance test is usually conducted by the university. you will have to write that if u dont have M.Phil or NET..................You need to have completed your post-graduation in english, though some universities also accept students who have completed their M.A. in sociology or history for a Ph.D. in english. So you need to check with the University where you intend to pursue your Ph.D. Also, you should not have got less that 50% at the post-graduation level.............. |

How to apply for Ph.D in English? What is the procedure in selecting candidates for Ph.D? I did my M.Phil in English through K.S.O.U and I would like to pursue my PhD. When do the admissions for PhD start? How to apply? I am working as a teacher in Republic of Maldives since 2005, teaching English for IGCSE students of Cambridge University, London. I Get my year end holidays in the month of November. If necessary I can take leave and attend your call for admission to PhD. Please let me know what I should do.
