In order to apply for W.B.C.S Exam you will require to fulfill these Eligibility :-

Educational qualification :-

You must be degree/Graduation pass out from recognized university in any stream.

NOTE :- You must be able to read,write and speak in English.

Age :-

Minimum age - 20 years.
Maximum age - 32 years.

Marks :-

Your minimum marks in Graduation should be 50%.

Selection Process :-

Preliminary Exam.
Mains Exam.
Personality Exam.

Details of Preliminary Exam :-

English Composition - Total Marks 25 Marks.
General Science - Total Marks 25 Marks.
Current Events on National and International Events - Total Marks 25 Marks.
History of India - Total Marks 25 Marks.
Geography of India related to west Bengal - Total Marks 25 Marks.
Indian Politics and Economics - Total Marks 25 Marks.
Indian National Movement - Total Marks 25 Marks.
General ability test - Total Marks 25 Marks.

Exam Pattern for Preliminary :-

Total duration of this Exam - 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Total marks - 200.
