Hello, IAS PREPARATION: Be very particular about the subject you choose for prelims, as you will be appearing for an objective type of paper. History, maths, geography may prove to be very scoring. Choose subjects which have availability of books, reading material and guidance. •G.K. will definitely pay in your prelims. Reading newspapers, watching TV news and of course quiz shows like KBC is a must. •Enhance your personality & communication skills •Practice & see previous years questions papers |

As you are 1st year student ,you have better time to prepare. start reading ncert books of cbse pattern from 6th standard to 12th standard of all subjects,it will help you to prepare for general studies. select optional subjects in which you have interest and capability in the subject. |

Re: How to prepare for IAS exam for 1st year Arts student? there are three steps to become an ias officer. they are: 1  relimnary exam2:main exam 3:interview since you are 1st year student, you read ncert books of 6th standard to 12th standard of cbse pattern. |

Re: How to prepare for IAS exam for 1st year Arts student? The IAS exam has mainly three steps. Candidates must successfully pass each of these exams as to get posted as an IAS officer. There are two written exams and one interview. Candidates need to practice extensively with sheer focus as to crack the exam. There are many coaching centers which offer candidates training as to pass each step in a systematic manner. Join a coaching center and practice as per the structure which they prepare students. |
