I am student of 12 in boarding school . sir can you explain me how I am prepare for AFMC exam , and only NCERT syllabus follow in my school . Is enough for me ? And maximum students join institutes e.g Aakash ,Allen etc but sir my parents have not enough money , so I can't join this institutes. Although can you suggest me how I am prepare for AFMC without any join coaching , institutes ....PLEASE |

My name is mitushi shrivastav I am in eighth standard now and my age is 12 years now and according to my calculation I will be of 16 and for giving the exams I have to be of 17 years so what should I do for one year and after 10, I am going to join Allen so I should continue coaching in Allen or something else . I will be glad after your advice and surely it will help me in shaping my future with my dream career. |

Re: How to join AFMC after 12th? How to prepare for joining AFMC? You should have completed 12th class from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subject in 12th. You should have scored minimum 60% marks in 12th and have atleast 50% marks in English. Age should be between 17-25 years and five years relaxation is provided to OBC/SC/ST category. Admission applications will be out in December and entrance test will be conducted in May and successful candidates will be called for interview in June. |

The candidate should have a completed 12th with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology Securing not less than 60% Marks and not less 50% marks in each of the Science Subject. The candidate must have also Passed an Examination In Mathematics at least of the Matriculation Level. Only Unmarried male Candidate is Eligible for Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC). The Entrance Examination will be 2 Hrs. of duration and one paper consisting of 200 Objective. All the best.................... |

To join AFMC (armed forced medical college) you need to fill up the application form of the exam...which will be available in your nearest GPO at the price of 25 rupees.. afmc preparation needs no other different kind of preparation..You need to be thorough with your text book.. The subjects are Physics,Chmistry and Biology.. But the competition is tough.... you have 100 seats for boys and 25 seats for girls.. |

Age : as your academic qualification is 10+2, so you must be 17 years of age but must not have attained the age of 22 years. (A student who has passed B.Sc. examination or will be appearing in final B.Sc. examination and seeking admission must not have attained the age of 24 years.) Educational Qualification: you must have passed the XII standard/pre-professional/premedical or equivalent examination of statutory Indian University/Board or any other recognized Board/University as a regular student in all the subjects opted for, in first attempt, with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing not less than 60% marks in aggregate in the three science subjects taken together, not less than 50% marks in each of the science subjects and not less than 50% marks in English. You must have also passed an examination in Mathematics at least of the matriculation standard. The entrance exam takes place at the 1st Sunday of may. On-line Application Form will be available for download only till 5th Feb 2011. The Last date of Receipt of completed Application Form along with Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- at AFMC Pune is 7th February 2011 (5.00 pm). you can apply online also demand draft is ready in front of you. |

AFMC stands for Arm Force Medical College.The examination is conducted for the admission in the MBBS course. The notification for the admissin in the MBBS course will come in the month of december every year.The notification will come out in the weekly journal the employment news and all the leading dailies. The examination held on first sunday of may every year.Successful candidate will be called for the interview in june. There is only 130 seats are availabe in which 105 seats are for the boys and 25 seats are for the girls. Eligibility Criteria:-
Candidate must have passed in the first attempt of the qualifying examinations as a regular candidate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these 3 science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects.
