Surely, Arts students are eligible for IAS entrance examination,for your information not only
Arts student according to UPSC any Graduate can write IAS entrance exam.Follow UPSC conducted IAS eligibility:-

1.Any graduate from the recognized University having minimum pass marks can write IAS entrance examination.

2.Age: General:21-32 years,relaxations for S/C S/T and obc 5,3 years respectively.

3.Must be the citizen of India.

4.Attempts: General: 6 attempts, OBC: 8 attempts, S/C S/T no limit.

To clear IAS a candidate to clear:-

a.Preliminary exam.
b.IAS mains exam.
c.Interview.

obiviously you can sit for IAS (UPSC civilservice).statitics says that most of the officers are from arts stream... So apply for IAS if you wanna govt. officer..

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. It is one of the top civil service in India.

Yes candidates are eligible to make entry into IAS soon after the completion of their Graduation in Arts stream. So, you can start preparation for IAS Exam.

To be placed in IAS or any other civil service, one should have to crack the following selection procedure

Civil Services Aptitude Test
Civil Services Main Exam
Interview

CSAT is the common entrance exam to be placed in any of the civil service like
IAS
IPS
IRS
IFS etc.

Here is the eligibility criteria that is required for you to apply for CSAT Exam.

You should have completed your Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.

Candidates who have appeared for final year exams of Graduation and waiting for the results can also apply for this Exam.

The required age will be
21-30 years for the candidates of General category.
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category.
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category.

So, I suggest you to successfully Graduation first and prepare for Civil Services Exam also in parallel.

Better to opt for any of the following optional subjects that will be useful for you.
Economics
Commerce

Just after passing class 12th, you cannot apply for the UPSC Civil servicres Exams.

Minimum eligibilty to apply for the UPSC Civil services exams is:

Graduation pass in any Stream

AGE- Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations


ATTEMPTS- General candidates- 4 times

Any Graduate from any stream is eligible to apply for IAS.

To become an IAS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

Yes, definitely you can apply for IAS exam after completing graduation. IAS is stand for Indian Administrative Service and it come under civil services examination. The civil services examination is conducted by the UPSC in every year. If you are interested in the IAS field then to appear in the IAS examination you need following criteria.

Eligibility Criteria for the Civil Services examination.
--> Pass graduation is any stream from a recognize University. Final year graduation candidates can also appear in the IAS examination.
--> The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of examination. The upper age relaxation is also applicable for the reservation category candiadtes.

These are the basic eligibility criteria for the IAS examination. If you satisfy the above eligibility criteria then you are eligible to apply for the IAS entrance examination.

Yes, arts stream students can apply for IAS Officer.
IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services.

To become IAS Officer you have to clear CSE i.e. Civil Services Exam. CSE is conducted by UPSC every year for the post like IAS, IPS, IFS etc.

Civil Services Exam has three stages:

>>Preliminary Exam

It consists of 2 papers of total weightage 200 marks.

>>Main Exam

After passing Preliminary exam the candidate are shortlisted for Main exam.
Main exam consists of 9 paper of 2000 marks.

>>Personal Interview

The personality interview has weightage of 300 marks.

Now the candidates are selected by rank in Merit List.

>>The age of candidate must be from 21 to 30 years.There is a relaxation for OBS candidate is 21 to 33 years and for SC and ST candidate is from 21 to 35 years.

i want to become ias officer in life but i am not able to decide which steam should i go for?
i want to opt for arts in my class11 ,as people have a perception that arts is only for
dull and weak students.i got 92% in class10.should i go for science or arts as im good in both the subjects
.As the pattern of the exam has changed and mostly students from science background are clearing this

Absolutely arts stream students are eligible for IAS examination. Minimum educational qualification for IAS examination is to be graduate with any of the stream.

Absolutely tobbaco can affect your studies. For short time it may be soothing to you but in long term it would make you annoying while studying, avoid it as much is possible.

1. Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years.
[33 years for Sc/ST]

2. You should have good knowledge in current affairs and social issues.
[Because you need to have very strong in that]

So if you fulfill the above conditions, you can easily crack IAS exam.

Art Stream students are eligible to write UPSC Civil Services Exam, so you are eligible for the exam after completing your graduation.

The eligibility criteria for UPSC Civil Services Exam is
1. Graduation in any discipline

But the great negative point of your is stop USING TOBACCO.
