Re: How can first year b.tech students apply for b.tech second year lateral entry in diff If I take admission in any engineering college with B-Tech in computer science and engineering i.e. "B-Tech in CSE" and after completing the first year I want to change my college to a reputed Govt. college like DTU i.e. Delhi Technological University or any other, and get admission directly in the SECOND YEAR with the same course. How can I do so? Can I also give CBSE Improvement Exam while studying in the engineering college? |

In diploma my stream is ECE and i changed into electrical or electronics engg.. My stream is applicable in govt. or other colleges under upsee counselling. |

Its possible only if that college for which you want to go for second year is also affiliated to same university. Talk to principle,if he/she is ready to return you TC. |

Re: How can first year b.tech students apply for b.tech second year lateral entry in diff hii, sorry there is no such provision provided in any college and lateral entry is for the diploma holder students not for 12th class passed out science students. so those students who have completed their diploma get directly into 2 nd year and they don't have to read the first yr. but a non-lateral entry student has to read right from the beginning. |

But as a first year student you can't take admission directly in second year in other university. Kindly, i suggest you to continue your study in your own college. & you can take admission in other university in again first year, so it will waste your one precious year. good luck. |

Now, as you said, you are already studying in B.Tech 1st year, so even if you have a diploma , you will be filling the form as lateral entry by next year, which according to me is unnecessary . you should do this only if you have a problem with the college you have selected in this academic year |

dear friend First year B.tech students are not eligible to get admission in 2nd year in other university. This is only pplicable for diploma students, the diploma holder students are eligible to get admission direct in second year in B.tech through lateral entry. But you cannot get admission in 2nd year in b.tech in other university through lateral entry after completing your b.tech first year. Only diploma students are eligible to get admission direct in 2nd year in B.tech. |
