Re: Is there any opportunity for girls in NDA? Dear Friend, The Union Public Service Commission conducts the NDA Exam every year and holds all the rights regarding this exam. So , as per the eligibility Criteria set by the UPSC , Girls are not allowed to appear for the NDA Exam. Which in turn , sadly to say but there is no opportunity for girls to give the NDA Exam. However , you need not to worry because the UPSC conducts an other central level examination which gives opportunity to both male and female candidates in Indian defense. This exam is known as the Combined Defense Services exam which gives you the opportunity to join any of the following wings : * Indian Militant Academy * Air Force Academy * Naval Academy * Officer`s Training Academy The Requisites for Combined Defense Services Exam are : ## Educational Qualifications : >> The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university. >> Candidates in final year of Graduation can also apply. >> There is no any specific percentage of marks required in graduation. ## Age Limit : >> Indian Militant Academy : 19-22 yrs >> Naval Academy : 19-23 yrs >> Air Force Academy : 19-24 yrs >> Officer`s Training Academy : 19-25 yrs ## Nationality : >> The candidate must be an Indian Citizen. So , you need not to worry for this as CDS Exam is there for you. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Is there any opportunity for girls in NDA? NDA-NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY is not meant for girls as it is only meant for Indian unmarried male candidate. But for girls can enter Defence sector through SSC(Short Service Commission) and later on can be changed to permanent Commissioned officer in Indian Navy, Army and Air Force. Girls can enter through TES(Technical Entry Scheme) in to Defence sector and also can enter in logistic cadre of Army, Navy and Air Force with qualification of Graduation in any discipline including LL.B. Girls are also suitable for Army Medical Corp, if she is a MBBS Graduate. So in this way there are various ways to enter in to Defence sector for girls through appearing for the entrance exam conducted by respective branches. Generally there are three branches in air force- 1. Flying branch 2. Technical branch. 3. For more information you can visit the official site-www.careerairforce.nic.in Although via appearing in CDS, you can apply one among the three disciplene i.e. Air, defence and navy. Then you can apply for Common Defence Service Exam(CDSE) Minimum eligibility for CDSE is: Educational Qualification: 1.For Air Force Academy: Candidates must be a graduate with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects in 10+2. 2.For Naval Academy: Candidates must be a graduate in engineering. 3.For Indian Military Academy and Officer's Training Institue: Candidates must be a graduate in any field from a recognized university. Age Limit: 19 - 25 years Other than this if you complete you B.E/B.tech course then you get chance of direct Service Selection Board (SSB) for Indian Army and Indian Navy. But for Air force you have to appear in Air force common test (AFCT) for ground duty, flying branch and technical entry. For more details, please visit official website of Air force, Navy and Army and for CDSE visit UPSC website All the Best... |
