hi manika,
you are not eligible for NDA or NA,since it is clearly given that the eligibility condition for writing NDA/NA is: Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1991 and not later than 1st January, 1994 are eligible. but dont worry you can still join indian army after doing your graduation. there are enteries such as: CDSE and UES for more info visit: www.upsc.gov.in http://indiannavy.nic.in/ |

Re: Is there any opportunity for girls in NDA?
Unmarried male candidates who have passed the 12th Standard, whose age is between 16 1/2 and 19 years, would be asked to apply for selection. They should have sound physical and mental health. Girls are not considered. Physically handicapped candidates are not eligible for selection

Re: Is there any opportunity for girls in NDA?
Sorry dear,NDA is not for females.
But that does'nt mean that you can not be a part of Indian defence services. There are several other modes of entry for female cadets into Indian defense services. You can enter through SSC (short service commission) for 10 years of service, which is also extendable upto 14 years and later on permannent commission depending upon the requirements. You have to crack an entrance for it conducted by army, navy and airforce it self.Notifications are released in employment news keep it reading. you can also enter in there logistic cadre as well as technical cadre, the minimum qualification for logistic cadre is B.sc(pcm),BCA,LLB,etc.You have to crack an entrance for it conducted by army, navy and airforce it self.Notifications are released in employment news keep it reading. You can also enter in 'Army medical corp' if you are an docter (mbbs). You have to crack an entrance for it conducted by army, navy and airforce it self.Notifications are released in employment news keep it reading. For technical entry minimum qualification is BCA,B.TECH,B.SC (elctronics/mathematics).You have to crack an entrance for it conducted by army, navy and airforce it self.Notifications are released in employment news keep it reading. Also visit the official website- http://www.careerarmy.nic.in of India army for more details. Best of luck |

Re: Is there any opportunity for girls in NDA?
what do you mean by short service commision?
it is similar to regular defence job.. but you have to write a bond to serve for 14yrs... after that you can quit defence sevice or continue on a regular basis if you fulfilll some requirements.. after you quit after 14yrs, you can still enjoy all the benefitsof ex-defence.. like cantten facility, army quota etc.. |

Re: Is there any opportunity for girls in NDA?
hi friend
As there is no such requirement of any lady officer as commando but you can apply in NDA as women requirent in TES ie Technical entry scheme. Into which you have to clear your 12th with more than 60 % marks and NCC certificate would be beneficial. Also you can apply after post graduation for SSC(NT) (Women)(including Nontech Specialist and JAG Entry). |
