Eligibility and procedure to join in Indian Army:- A candidate to join in Indian Army wing have to go through NDA entrance examination. This NDA Entrance examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. a)A 12th standard Indian male can write UPSC conducted NDA entrance exam. b)The age of the candidate should be within 16.5 years to 19 years. c)Candidates eye sight should be normal and free from colour blindness. Dear Aspirant, No you can not join the Indian Army after 10th class. you have to clear the 12th class with Science with 60% marks.other wise complete the graduation and then fight the CDS exam .But if you want to do job on d grade the you can apply after 10th class. |

My dear friend, After completion of 10th you can not join Indian Army because the minimum requirement to join Indian Army is 12th class so my friend first complete your 12th class then only you can apply for it. If you want to join any of the civil service then you have to apply through NDA entrance exam.As there are three types of civil services that are comes under NDA and those civil services are as follows: 1.Indian Military 2.Indian Air Force 3.Indian Navy If you want to join Indian Army then you can join even after completion of 12th with arts and commerce but if you want to join Indian Navy or Indian Air Force then you can apply after completion of 12th with Science stream only.So keep in Mind!!  But if you want to join these civil services after graduation then you can give CDS entrance exam.CDS stands for Combined Defense Services and it is an entrance exam which is given after completion of graduation only. If you want to join after 12th then the only one option is there i.e.NDA entrance exam.NDA is given by UPSC and it held as twice in a year. You must be eligible for it.SO check the eligibility criteria for NDA.The eligibility criteria for NDA is as follow: 1.You must be an Indian. 2.Your age should lies between 16.5 to 19 years. 3.Your eye sight should be correct i.e.6/6. 4.You must be physically fit. 5.Girls are not eligible for it. 6.Only unmarried males are eligible for it. 7.Your marks from 12th should be more than 50% with in any of the stream under some recognized university or board. The exam is conducted bu Union of Public Service. You can join any of the major 3 branches of defense: >>Army; >>Navy; >>Air Force. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 1)The age of the candidates should be between 16.5-19 years. 2)Only unmarried Male candidates can apply. 3)The candidates should be Indian. 4)The candidates must pass 10+2 from a recognized board. For Army: any stream For Air Force/Navy: should have PCM in 10+2 level. 5)Should be physically strong. Sight: better eye 6/6 and worse eye 6/9. HELLO DEAR yes you are eligible but you will be given or start your career in army as a soldier rather than a officer. and after clearing medical test and physical test you will assign to different department like clerical, medical, war-soldier etc department. but your Age should be between 16 to 21 years. and Physical Standards are following: Height: 167 cms, relaxable for certain regions. Weight: 50 kg, relaxable for certain regions. Chest: 77/82 cm. hope best for your career!! thank you |

But I certainly suggest u that ,firstly go for higher studies & than apply for it b`coz it will help u to grow faster with much higher education qualification. also to grow joining as soilder grade oppertunities to get to get a better post is very very tough. No, you cannot join Indian Army after 10th class as in order to join the Indian Armed Forces,you need to appear for the NDA (National Defense Academy) Exam which is conducted 2 times every year in the months of April and August by the UPSC for admissions to the following armed forces :- Army Air Force Navy Candidates willing to appear for the NDA exam must fulfill the following minimum eligibility criteria as under- 1) The candidate must have completed his 12th or appearing for the board exams from a recognized board.. 2) The candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years as seen on 1st July of the year of the exam. So it is advisable to you to first complete your 12th class & then proceed the same.However it is good to maintain your physical fitness in between as this is necessary for the NDA cadets. |

To join Indian Army,the candidate must have a complete the 12th from recognized board or equivalent qualification. The candidate age should between 16.5 years to 19 years of age at the time of appearing. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible and female candidates are not eligible to write examination. Candidates who are appearing in the final year of examination can also apply for this examination. This entrance examination was conducted by upsc twice in a year.(i.e NDA I & NDA II). NDA I examination was already over..... The application forms are available in various designated post offices throughout the country. |

Re: Can I join Indian Army after class 10th? Your interest to join the Air Force is commendable. Yes there are opportunities for you to join in the Air force after your 10th standard. You can join as a ground duty staff. It is recommended that you complete you +2 first. After completing your plus two you can write the UPSC exam and then Join the N.D.A. After passing out from N.D.A, you can become a Permanent Commissioned Officer. |

Dear, In order to join the Indian Army you need to have the following eligibilities:- 1.) 10+2 pass students with physics , chemistry , maths with a minimum of 55-60%. 2.) Age limitation is between 16.5 -19.5 years. 3.) Only unmarried male candidates are allowed. 4.) Minimum height should be 157.5 cm with 5 cm chest expansion. 5.) Eyesight should be 6/6 ( both eyes ).
