The education qualification for merchant navy is varying from post to post.If you are applying for the officer level jobs in navigational and engineering fields you would have to pursue Bachelors course in nautical science or Marine engineering. Physical standards required:- **Minimum Height :- 160 cms to 170 cms from different regions of the country **Minimum Chest:- 77cms **Minimum Weight:-48 kg to 50 from different regions of the country. |

After pursuing anyone of the above course, you can apply for Merchant Navy. Physical Requirements required for Merchant Navy is similar to defence exams like NDA, CDS Exams.  |
