Yes, you are eligible to appear for Civil Services examination as there is no examination conducted only for recruitment as an I.A.S Officer. Any candidate who have passed degree from a recognised university are eligible to appear for Civil Services examination whether the degree is from open university. So, you can appear for examination but have to qualify in Preliminary, Mains and Interview stages of the examination for final selection. To get more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. Yes, candidates passed bachelor degree in distance are eligible to pursue master degree in regular. So, you are eligible to pursue or master degree in regular. |

I.A.S stands for Indian Administrative Service and to become an I.A.S Officer the candidates have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination conducted by UPSC every year. The required qualification to appear for examination is that the candidate must have passed bachelor degree from any recognised university. The age limit is 21-32 years with +3 years relaxation in upper age limit for OBC and +5 years for SC/ST. Candidates from open university which are recognised are eligible to appear for examination. So, you are eligible to appear for the examination and even eligible to pursue your master degree in regular. |

Am I eligible to appear for IAS or any other competitive exams after completing B.Sc from Karnataka open University? Hello Sir, I have completed B.Sc (PCM) from Karnataka open University, Muktagangotri Mysore. I want to know that am I eligible to write IAS exam and also other Competitive exams? Can I pursue M.Sc regular mode? |
