Hello Sir, I have completed B.Sc (PCM) from Karnataka open University, Muktagangotri Mysore. I want to know that am I eligible to write IAS exam and also other Competitive exams? Can I pursue M.Sc regular mode?

I.A.S stands for Indian Administrative Service and to become an I.A.S Officer the candidates have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination conducted by UPSC every year.

The required qualification to appear for examination is that the candidate must have passed bachelor degree from any recognised university. The age limit is 21-32 years with +3 years relaxation in upper age limit for OBC and +5 years for SC/ST.

Candidates from open university which are recognised are eligible to appear for examination.

So, you are eligible to appear for the examination and even eligible to pursue your master degree in regular.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for Civil Services examination as there is no examination conducted only for recruitment as an I.A.S Officer.

Any candidate who have passed degree from a recognised university are eligible to appear for Civil Services examination whether the degree is from open university.

Yes, you are eligible for IAS exam because KSOU is recognized by UGC. I have attached a documents regarding UGC approval for KSOU. So please check it out.

Those candidates who have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible for IAS exam.

Your age should be in between 21 to 32 years.
