As you have maintained that age criteria required varies from school to school. Since, your son is 8 years old, as per CBSE age criteria, he is not eligible to get admission in 4th standard in CBSE board school. |

But as per Kendriya Vidyalaya admission procedure, the minimum age limit to get admission in std 4th standard is 5 years 8 months on March 31. For more information visit at the schools. |

It is the Directorate of State Education, which decides the age limit to appear in the board examination or to get admission in any std. So,visit the respective office to get the detail about the admission procedure. |

What is the age criteria for class 4th admission in CBSE Board's affiliated schools for academic session 2020-2012? Currently he is studying in 3rd standard and we are willing to change the school. |
