My son's date of birth is 25th December, 2011. What is the age criteria for class 4th admission in CBSE Board's affiliated schools for academic session 2020-2012? Currently he is studying in 3rd standard and we are willing to change the school.

CBSE has not released the notification regarding the age limit to get admission in the school.

It is the Directorate of State Education, which decides the age limit to appear in the board examination or to get admission in any std.

No, there is no fixed age limit to get admission in the std 4th in different CBSE schools. But as per Kendriya Vidyalaya admission procedure, the minimum age limit to get admission in std 4th standard is 5 years 8 months on March 31.
