Hi Friend...

IAS - Indian administrative Service

IAS aspirants, first crack the Civil Examination

Civil Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission in yearly ones

For this examination some eligibility criteria are required i.e.

Age Limit

For General candidates

Minimum age - 21 years

Maximum age - 30 years

For OBC candidates

Minimum age - 21 years

Maximum age - 33 years

For SC/ST candidates

Minimum age - 21 years

Maximum age - 35 years

Educational Qualification

Candidates have a bachelor of degree in any stream from any recognized university

Final year appeared students also eligible for this examination

There is no percentage required for this examination

Nationality

Candidates should be a citizen of India

Selection Procedure

Preliminary Examination

Mains Examination

Personnel Interview

No.of Attempts

Maximum 4 attempts for General candidates

Maximum 7 attempts for OBC candidates

IAS - Indian Administrative Service, to become an IAS officer, one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The minimum age for Civil Service Exam is 21 years and maximum limit is 30 years for General candidate.

For OBC the upper age limit is relaxed up to 3 years and for SC/ST it is relaxed up to 5 years.

Apart from this the eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University, is eligible to apply for IAS, Civil Service Exam.

Dear,
The civil services exam is conducted by the UPSC .
For example :- IAS and IPS.
In order to sit for the IAS or IPS exam you need to clear the CSAT exam i.e. Civil Services Aptitude Test.
Age limitation is between 21-30 years with 5 years relaxation for the SC/ST candidates and 3 years for the OBC categories.
General categories get 4 while reserved categories get 7 attempts to clear the exam.

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for I.A.S exam at the age of 45 year.

I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For OBC category:- 5 attempts

I am very sorry for saying that you lost your opportunity for applying in IAS .the age limit is only 21-30,as you are 45years .so you can't fulfill the condition for eligibility in IAS.but no worry try something next you defiantly achieve something best .and also you have enough knowledge that you can get any big opportunity.

Eligibility Criteria For Civil Service Exams


According to the UPSC guidelines..a candidate must satisfy the following criterion to appear for the Civil Service Exam :-

1) You need to be a graduate or a final year graduation student in any stream from an AICTE or UGC recognized University..

2) You should be in the age limit of 21-30 years for general category,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST

The maximum number of attempts allowed for the general category is 4,for OBC it is 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit..


Hence, i am really very sorry sir but you are not eligible for sitting i the Civil Service Exams and becoming an IAS..

As you are 45 years old, i am sorry to say that you are now not eligible for IAS exam. Age limit for civil services exam is maximum upto 30 years and an additional maximum of 5 years for people with reservations.

IAS (Indian Administrative Services) is basically for those who are firmly determined for dedication of themselves towards the own country.

If you are so interested for IAS,after being Engineers, Doctors, or Ph.d you can sit IAS exam conducted by UPSC.

Application forms will come out in the month of January.

According to the new exam pattern of the IAS exam

1) General-Studies paper which carries 150 marks

2) Optional paper which carries 150 marks.

Eligibility Criteria :-

You are not eligible for IAS exam for your age.
the age limit of IAS exam is 21 to 30 years.
OBC candidates are get relaxation in 3 years
SC/ST candidates are get relaxation in 5 years.
Inspite of having relaxation,your age limit is cross,so you are not eligible.

Here is the age limits for civil service examination

If you are a general 21- 30 years
If you are a OBC 21-33 years
If you are a SC/ST 21-35 years

There is 4 attempts for general candidates, 7 for OBC and no limits for SC/ST

Only graduate candiadte are eligible for IAS exam. You have just paased in 10 th or 12 the are eligible for IAS exam.

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC.

IAS i.e. Indian Administrative Services is one of the most reputed government posts in India.
IAS exam is conducted UPSC.
The exam pattern consists of the CSAT , Mains and interview.
Qualifications:- 1.) The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field from any recognized university of India.

2.) Age limitation is between 21-30 years for the general , 21-33 years for the OBC , 21-35 years for the SC/ST.

3.) In case of no. of attempts , general category get 4 , SC/ST get unlimited while the OBC get 7 attempts to clear the exam.

For being IAS you need to be graduate in any of subject..
your age must be between 21 and 30..
for SC/ST candidate relaxation in upper age of 5 years..
and for OBC candidates relaxation in upper age is 3 years..

My date of birth is June 1985. I am a 25 years old female belongs to general category and I have done M.Sc (Analytical Chem), M.Sc( Clinical Research), PGDCRM. I m working in a CRO. I would like to appear the IAS exam so i want to know, how many times i can appear in the IAS examinations? can i do preparations without quitting my current job?

According to me you are not eligible for IAS exam because the age for IAS exam is 30 years for general category student. But your age is 45 years then you can not apply for IAS exam.

Eligibility conditions:
Age limits: Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st August, 2011
The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the notice

Physical standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the regulations given in the appendix-III of rules for the civil services examination, 2011 published in the gazette of India extraordinary dated 19th February, 2011

19-2-2011 date of notification.
21-3-2011 last date for receipt of completed forms.
12-6-2011 date of examination.

Sorry, but you can not apply for civil services exam( CSE) conducted for recruitment of IAS officers.

The age limit for appearing in CSE is as follows:
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years.

The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable:

1. upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.
2. upto a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates.
3. upto a maximum of five years if a candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989.
