Hello everyone, I want to join Visva Bharati University for studying PhD(English). I would like to know about the procedure for getting admission in this institute for this PhD course. Waiting for your response!

The applicants shall be admitted to the University by a two-stage process. The candidates will be selected on the basis of examination followed by an interview round. Candidates will have to obtain the qualifying marks in order to clear the examination. Candidates will have to score 50% to clear the exam.

The admission procedure to study PhD in English at Visva Bharati University is a candidate must have passed a master's degree in the relevant field with a minimum score of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university and there will be a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates. Admission selection will be on the basis of the performance in the entrance test which is conducted by the university.

Interested candidates can apply online through the Visva Bharati University website www.visvabharati.ac.in by clicking on the 'Apply Now' option. First of all, register yourself on the website and thereafter log in with the details. Fill the application form with all the required details and upload the scanned copy of all the relevant documents. Pay the application fee online and submit the form.

Candidates who have completed masters degree with atleast 55%marks in aggregate .And you will have to appear in the entrance exam called UGC- NET,GATE and SLET.

If you have completed post graduate degree with atleast 55%marks in aggregate then,you can take admission to study PhD (English).

Interested candidates can fill the VBRET 2022 application form by visiting the official website http://vbu.ucanapply.com. The selection of the candidates for PhD course will be based on entrance test in which candidates are required to obtain the qualifying marks followed by personal interview.
