Respected Sir, I just want to know how I can secure admission in Gauhati University for PhD program in History? Please let me know about the procedure to get admission for this course in this university? Waiting for your response!

The admission procedure to study PhD in History at Guhati University is a candidate must have done a Master's degree in the relevant field with a minimum score of 55% marks in aggregate. Admission selection will be done on the basis of merit in an entrance test which is conducted by the university that is Gauhati University Research Eligibility Test (GU RET). The candidate who has already qualified CSIR/UGC-JRF, ICMR, ICAR-JRF, DBT-JRF will directly have to appear only in the interview round conducted by the university.
