Am I eligible to appear for NET exam after completing MBA in Finance (Distance Education)? Which is my subject code 08 Commerce or 17 Management?


Respected Sir, I have completed my MBA in Finance (Distance Education) and now I want to appear for the NET exam so I want to know am I eligible to appear for NET exam after completing MBA in Finance (Distance Education)? Which is my subject code 08 Commerce or 17 Management? Please answer as soon as possible.

If you have score 55% marks in your MBA degree, then you are definitely eligible for UGC NET. You have to choose management subjects because MBA is a management degree not a commerce degree. Those who have M.Com degree, opt for commerce subject.

In case, you belong to belong to reserved category, there will be 5% relaxation in marks. Just make sure you have necessary documents to avail relaxation.

If you have completed your MBA from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% and 50% for reserved category then you are eligible for NET exam.
There exam paper will be divided into three parts. Part A will contain general aptitude.
Part B will contain Mathematics and English aptitude whereas Part c will contain questions from 7 subjects(computer science and information technology, electrical science, electronics, fluid mechanism, thermodynamics, material science, solid mechanism).
There will total 70 questions(10 from each subject) in part c out which candidates have to answer only 20 question of 5 marks each. There will also be negative marking of 1.25 marks for every wrong answer. Your subject code will be 08.

You have completed MBA course so you are eligible for UGC NET exam in Management subject. You can apply for 17 subject code.

But your masters degree marks must be above 55% from a recognized University.
